This year, Treasure Days begins with the residents south of 79th Street on Saturday, Sept. 10, and Sunday, Sept. 11. The pirate ship then heads north of 79th Street on Saturday, Sept. 17, and Sunday, Sept. 18.
All Treasure Days hours are from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. As in past practice, the village waives all permits and fees and provides the advertising.
To sell your treasures, you need to clip and fill out the registration form and bring it to the Village Customer Service Office. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, Sept. 8. After you register, you will be issued a special Treasure Days mailbox cover. Attach the bright pink cover to your mailbox on your designated Treasure Day weekend. This cover will flag down the treasure hunters and of course, our famous pirate ship.
No private home food vendors
Treasure Days has become a yearly tradition in Bridgeview. In an effort to keep the public safe, we would like to remind everyone that the Village of Bridgeview permits the sale of food (any raw, cooked, or processed edible substance, ice beverage or ingredient used or intended for use or for sale in whole or in part for human consumption) ONLY by a licensed food service establishment. A private home does not meet state standards to be issued a license for the service or sale of food. To avoid possible ticketing and legal liability, please do not serve or sell food to the public.
